When You Need a Quick Meal, Turn to Pasta!


All cooks have days after they are overly busy and want to induce a meal on the table with alittle quantity of your time.  Pasta is usually an honest ingredient to show to in these things.  Pasta may be utilized in such a large amount of ways; it's fast, easy, and it's tasty. the subsequent recipes are good for fast and attractive meals.

LAZY COOK'S LASAGNE

6-oz lasagne noodles, cooked in keeping with pkg directions

1/4 tsp oregano

1 can (15.5-oz) spaghetti sauce of your alternative

1 cup cream-style cottage cheese

1 pkg (6-oz) sliced Mozzarella cheese

Blend the oregano into the spaghetti sauce.

Spray a ten x 6-inch baking dish, that has one 1/2 to 2-inch sides, with nonstick cooking spray.

Layer [*fr1] the lasagne noodles topped with [*fr1] the cottage cheese, followed by [*fr1] the sauce and [*fr1] the cheese.  Repeat the layers with the remaining halves of the ingredients.  Bake during a moderate 375 degree oven for about half-hour, till heated through and bubbly.  Let stand ten minutes before cutting to serve.

Yield: four servings

For an entire meal serve with a salad and crusty whole-grain bread.

MOSTACCIOLI AL FREDO

1 pkg (16-oz) mostaccioli, cooked in keeping with pkg directions

1 cup significant cream

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped recent parsley

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1/8 tsp garlic powder

Drain the mostaccioli.

In a giant pan or Dutch oven heat the cream and butter on low heat; don't boil.   Add the cooked mostaccioli, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and seasonings.  Toss gently to coat.  Serve immediately.

Yield: half-dozen to eight servings.

Add some easy steamed broccoli or a inexperienced salad for a fast meal.

QUICK and simple PASTA AND VEGGIES

1 pkg (approx 9-oz) oven-ready lasagne noodles (or one2-oz different dry pasta)

1 tbsp olive oil

2 medium yellow squash, cut into chunks

2 medium zucchini, cut into chunks

1/2 lb recent mushrooms, cut and cut in [*fr1]

2 cups tomato-basil pasta sauce

1/4 cup significant cream

Shaved Parmesan cheese, if desired

Heat regarding a pair of to three quarts of salted water during a Dutch oven or giant saucepan.  Add the noodles, one at a time so that they do not stick along, and cook regarding eight minutes or till tender.
